Gomboc.ai raises $5.2 million for its cloud infrastructure remediation platform
“Our approach with Gomboc is to use AI to provide context-aware remediations immediately and present the solution to DevOps teams to approve,” said Ian Amit, Co-Founder and CEO
Gomboc.ai, a deterministic AI-powered cloud infrastructure remediation platform, announced it has completed a Seed round of $5.2 million led by Glilot Capital and Hetz Ventures with participation from strategic angel investors. Its platform is already used by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies and the funding will help it accelerate its product development to establish its go-to-market and meet demand.
“We are delivering on the promise of true remediation,” said Ian Amit, Co-Founder and CEO of Gomboc.ai. “Many security platforms have been created to tell you what issues to fix, why to fix them, and in what order you should fix them for the highest impact. Instead, our approach with Gomboc is to use AI to provide context-aware remediations immediately and present the solution to DevOps teams to approve.”
Gomboc has built a deterministic AI engine that outputs precise and secure infrastructure as code. The engine, which is trained nightly and has a complete up-to-date understanding of cloud providers, helps security teams enforce cloud security policies and DevOps teams immediately deploy remediations. It is understood that the platform helps remediate backlogs due to continuously pushing fixes for DevOps teams; reduces learning curves due to its ability to work with all popular infrastructure as code, and produces accurate code that adheres to organizations’ cloud environments due to its deterministic AI.
“Remediation has continued to be a headache for security and DevOps teams alike. We find Gomboc’s approach to both cloud security and AI to be refreshing and logical. They have engineered an extremely defensible strategy to fix a painful issue plaguing cloud security. We believe it will quickly become essential to every CISO’s portfolio,” added Kobi Samboursky, Founder and Managing Partner at Glilot Capital Partners.
Gomboc was Co-Founded by Amit and Jonathan Desrocher, who serves as CTO. Amit is a former CSO who spent four years securing 14 businesses at Cimpress and was also the CSO at Rapid7. Desrocher held leadership roles at AWS and Bridgewater Associates and is an alumnus of IDF’s 8200 unit. Their AI expertise and experience in the problem area have given insights into how best to build a solution that works towards security and DevOps goals. Its drag-and-drop policy creation means Gomboc removes the work of managing and securing cloud infrastructure across single and multi-cloud environments.
