Perfecto has raised around $90 million in total equity funding to date, from investors including San Francisco-based growth equity firm FTV Capital, Palo Alto, California-based venture capital firm TCV and Vodafone Ventures, the global venture capital arm of London-headquartered communication company Vodafone Group PLC. Dell Technologies Inc., FedEx Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation are among Perfecto’s customers.

When approached for comment by Calcalist, co-founder and CEO Eran Yaniv declined to deny or confirm the company is negotiating with potential buyers. Mr. Yaniv said the mobile quality assurance market is now made up of small companies and that the market is looking for a "gorilla", a large, dominating company that can be formed via organic growth or M&A. Mr. Yaniv told Calcalist that the company has seen a 40% increase in sales in the past year, and expects the trend to continue.

In August, San Francisco-based private equity and venture capital firm Vista Equity Partners bought Boston-headquartered, Israel-linked application testing company Applause App Quality Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
