Partner Joins Israeli Venture Firm TLV Partners

Tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist Shahar Tzafrir is joining Tel Aviv-based venture capital firm TLV Partners, the firm announced Tuesday.

In October, Mr. Tzafrir left Tel Aviv-based venture capital firm Magma Venture Partners after four years as a general partner. At the time, Calcalist reported that he would join TLV, citing sources.

Established in 2015, TLV Partners focuses on early-stage investments. Managing around $115 million in assets, the firm’s portfolio includes Facebook ads analytics startup Oribi Inc., and construction site app developer Buildup Technologies Inc.

During his time at Magma, Mr. Tzafrir led investments in open source data store ScyllaDB Inc. and cloud-based networking company Teridion Technologies Ltd. In 1997 Mr. Tzafrir founded Federation Inc., sold to Netherland-based cloud platform Cordys in 2002.
