HERE Technologies Launches New Mobility Products
The new products were developed by an Israeli-led mobility division formed out of a team previously employed by British startup Karhoo

Founded originally as Navteq, HERE was partly acquired in 2015 by Daimler AG, Audi AG, and BMW AG for 2.8 billion euros.
Established in 2016, HERE’s mobility division was formed out of an Israeli unit of British startup Karhoo Inc. Planned to shut down, HERE recruited the team led by , previously chief technology officer at Karhoo. Mr. Yitshak now leads the division, employing around 150 people, 110 of them in Israel.
The division plans further expansion, and is expected to employ 200 people by the end of 2018, Mr. Yitshak said in an interview with Calcalist Monday.
“We’re excited to form HERE Mobility, a business with a clear mission to transform the way we access and use transportation and mobility services to simply “get around”,” said Edzard Overbeek, CEO of HERE Technologies as part of a Monday announcement by the company.
