Code management startup JFrog Ltd. appointed industry veteran Jacob Shulman as chief financial officer, the company announced Friday. In his previous position, Mr. Shulman was chief financial officer at Nasdaq-listed Israel-based chipmaker Mellanox Technologies Ltd. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Shulman worked for German conglomerate ThyssenKrupp AG and financial consulting and advising firm Ernst & Young.

Founded in 2008, JFrog develops code management tools, that help coders make code development more efficient. Counting Amazon, Google, Facebook, Uber, and Netflix, among its clients, the company has over 4,000 customers according to company statements.

JFrog has raised $65 million in equity funding from investors including Battery Ventures LP, Scale Venture Partners, EMC and Dell Technologies subsidiary VMware Inc.

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, JFrog has additional offices in Netanya, a coastal town in central Israel, Beijing, Toulouse and Bengaluru, India. It employs 330 people.

 

“The growth JFrog has already achieved as a pre-IPO company is substantial, the addressable market is significant and the efficiency of the company is impressive,” Mr. Shulman said in a statement. “I am looking forward to bringing my financial and strategic experience to JFrog's leadership team in order to drive continued long-term growth and profitability," he added.
