Viola Growth Appoints Former Goldman Sachs SVP Rafi Carmeli As Partner

Under Viola, Mr. Carmeli will scout for U.S.-based investment and business opportunities for the fund and its portfolio companies

Viola Growth has announced Wednesday the appointment of Rafi Carmeli as partner. The fund is the growth capital vehicle of Israel-based Viola Group, which manages around $2.8 billion in assets and counts the likes of Playbuzz and SimilarWeb among its portfolio. Mr. Carmeli, until May a senior vice president at Goldman Sachs and its head of emerging fintech practice, will scout for investment and business opportunities for the fund and its companies in the U.S. and specifically in the greater New York area.
