Brooklyn-based blockchain technology company ConsenSys Inc. is looking to set up shop in Israel, according to a job listing posted on the company’s website. ConsenSys has hundreds of employees working worldwide according to LinkedIn data and its website currently lists over 200 open positions.

Founded in 2014 by Canadian entrepreneur Joseph Lubin, ConsenSys develops decentralized applications on open-source blockchain-based operating system Ethereum, developed by Swiss company Stiftung Ethereum, also founded by Lubin.

In May, ConsenSys held an event at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in which local blockchain entrepreneurs were invited to pitch their technologies.
The company is looking for applications from engineers, entrepreneurs, consultants, and community managers familiar with blockchain technology in Tel Aviv and is “in the early stages of planning its presence in Israel,” the listing reads.
