Facebook Buys Israeli Messaging Company Redkix
Redkix developed an email-integrated instant messaging app for the workplace

Facebook has bought Israeli messaging company Redkix, Inc., the company announced Thursday. Redkix did not disclose the terms.
Correction: A previous version of this article stated that a person familiar with the matter said the deal is valued at $100 million. Further sources have put the deal's worth south of $100 million, without giving further details.

In a statement published on the company website, Redkix co-founders, brothers Oudi and Roy Antebi, said the company will join Facebook’s Workplace team. Redkix will wind down its own app, they said.
