Elbit Specialists to Serve as Mentors in HTC’s Israel Tech Accelerator

Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems Ltd. will collaborate with the local branch of VIVE X, a global accelerator program by Taiwan-listed mobile phone manufacturer HTC Corp., HTC’s local distributor TOUCH Group Ltd., which operates VIVE X’s Israel operations, announced Sunday. As part of the collaboration, technology experts from Elbit will act as mentors for participating startups. The four-month program will focus on virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence technologies and is scheduled to begin in September. VIVE X also operates in the U.K., the U.S., China, and Taiwan, with more than 85 portfolio companies, according to the statement.
