"Imagine the world in 2025," said Autotalks Ltd. CEO Hagai Zyss when speaking about the future of the auto industry Tuesday. "We call it perception networks, the ability of all people on the road to exchange information between one another and create a network of safety by using not just their sensors but the sensors of others." This will enable drivers to identify security risks such as pedestrians even if they don't identify them with their own sensors, he explained.
Zyss spoke at a conference on innovation held jointly by Calcalist and events firm Connecting Leaders Club at the Mondial de l'Automobile auto show in Paris.
Founded in 2008, Autotalks is an Israel-based developer of communication chipsets for autonomous driving. The company raised $80 million to date from investors including from Samsung and Hyundai.
