WeWork Nabs CEO of Israeli State-Owned Real Estate Company

New York-headquartered shared space company WeWork has nabbed Uzi Levy, former CEO of Israeli state-owned Apartment for Rent - The Governmental Company for Housing and Rental Ltd., the former announced Sunday.
When current Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon took office in May 2015, he decided to switch the ministry’s focus to a new plan that has seen thousands of low-priced housing units sold.

In his new position at WeWork, Levy will be responsible for the company’s real estate operations in Israel, including finding new assets, negotiating with owners and contractors, and initiating new projects.

Levy was CEO of Apartment for Rent since its founding in 2014 as part of a plan by former Israeli Minister of Finance Yair Lapid to build thousands of new housing units to be offered to long-term tenants.
