On Wednesday, the first Israeli location of Anthropologie, the bohemian styled clothing store owned by Urban Outfitters, opened by the company’s Israeli distributor, Israeli retailer Fox-Wizel Ltd. Anthropologie is looking for new places “where the brand can thrive,” Hillary Super, the company’s president of apparel and accessories, said to Calcalist in a statement.
Founded in Pennsylvania in 1992, Anthropologie boasts more than 200 locations throughout the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Canada and the U.S. The company inaugurated branches in Dusseldorf and Barcelona last year.
Located in Tel Aviv’s TLV Fashion Mall, the new store spans 1,000 square meters. The store in Israel will not offer Anthropologie’s furniture and the company’s recently launched large size clothing line.
