Foursquare is working towards being able to identify the digital fingerprint of every store in a mall in order to provide a better mapping system, Foursquare Labs Inc. CEO Jeffrey Glueck said Thursday at Calcalist’s Mind the Tech conference in New York. Glueck discussed the future of location technology with Pitango managing general partner Isaac Hillel.
Current GPS technology “doesn’t tell you if you’re at the Macy’s on the third floor or the Starbucks on the first floor,” Glueck said.
