Harman Appoints New VP of Automotive Cybersecurity
Samsung's connected car and audio technology subsidiary has appointed Asaf Atzmon, previously the company’s senior director of business development and marketing
Samsung’s connected car and audio technology subsidiary Harman International Industries Inc. has appointed Asaf Atzmon to the role of vice president of automotive cybersecurity, the company announced Sunday. Atzmon previously served as the company’s senior director of business development and marketing, automotive cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Harman, Atzmon served as director of business development for automotive security at Cisco Systems Inc.

In 2017, Harman was acquired by Samsung for $8 billion and has operated as its subsidiary since. Harman employs 30,000 people globally, 250 of them in Israel.
Harman’s Israeli presence was established in 2013 with the $8.5 million acquisition of driving app developer iOnRoad Ltd. In March of 2018, Calcalist reported that an augmented reality (AR) navigation system developed by Harman based on iOnRoad technology will be debuting in Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz A-Class vehicles.
