Microsoft Hires AWS Exec to Head its Israeli Startup Accelerator Program
For the past four years, Raz Bachar was head of startup business development in the EMEA region for Amazon Web Services
Amazon Web Services (AWS) veteran Raz Bachar has joined Microsoft as managing director of the company’s startup accelerator program in Israel Microsoft for Startups, the company announced Sunday. Bachar will be stepping in for Navot Volk who resigned in November 2018, less than a year after he replaced Tzahi (Zack) Weisfeld in the position.

In January, Volk joined Tel Aviv-based website building company Wix.com Ltd. as a senior vice president and just last week Weisfeld took up a new position as general manager of Intel’s startup program in Israel.
Thirty-six-year-old Bachar joined AWS in 2012. For the past four years, he was head of startup business development in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region for AWS.
