Coworking company the We Company, formerly WeWork, has moved its initial public offering date to September, the Wall Street Journal first reported Tuesday.
Previous estimates were that WeWork, which first filed its initial confidential prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in December, will carry out its IPO towards the end of 2019. WeWork will disclose the date in August, the WSJ said.
WeWork is currently in the process of raising capital through a new bond offering, ahead of its IPO, to alleviate concerns from potential investors about its cash hemorrhage. A Reuters report put the requested sum at $5 billion to $6 billion.
