The Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), an alternative stock exchange in Canada, has partnered with New York-headquartered the OTC (over-the-counter) Markets Group to host a cannabis capital and commercialization conference in Tel Aviv in September, the latter announced Monday.
The conference will be co-sponsored by London-based Edison Investment Research Ltd., Israel-based Gelbart Kahana Investor Relations & Business Communication Ltd., and Israeli accelerator and services company iCAN: Israel-Cannabis.
Scheduled for September 16, the conference’s aim is to assist private and publicly traded cannabis companies in their globalization efforts and business development strategies, OTC Markets Group said. Discussions will focus on global cannabis regulations and on ways to access capital in North American and Europe, OTC Markets Group said.

Both the CSE and the OTC Markets Group offer companies the ability to trade in their securities without the significant expenses related to a major exchange. There are currently 41 Israeli companies trading on OTC Markets—including Israel’s largest telecom Bezeq, Bank Hapoalim, and home cannabis farming startup Seedo incorporated as Eroll Grow Tech Ltd.
