New York-listed management corporation BlackRock Inc. has appointed Anath Levin to head its Israeli operations, the company announced Saturday. Levin is set to replace Alex Pollak, who will be moving back to the U.K. for a different position at BlackRock, which is considered the world's largest asset manager with more than $6 trillion in assets under management.
Levin has more than 20 years of experience in the world of finance. She had previously served as the chief investment officer of Israel-based insurance company Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd., and as the deputy CEO of Bank Hapoalim, one of Israel's two largest banks. In her new role, she will be in charge of the local customer service department, expanding BlackRock’s investments in Israel, and strengthen local partnerships, according to the company’s statement.
