Tel Aviv-based crypto cybersecurity startup GK8 Ltd. has emerged from stealth mode with the completion of a $4 million seed funding round, GK8 announced Wednesday. The round was led by Marius Nacht, co-founder of Nasdaq-listed Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. and technology venture capital firm aMoon, and Discount Capital Ltd., the investment arm of Israel Discount Bank Ltd. Venture capital firms EdenBlock and iAngels Crowd Ltd., and The Israel Innovation Authority, the government's tech investment arm, also participated in the round.
Founded in 2018, GK8 provides a digital assets cybersecurity and management service and also develops technology that enables sending blockchain transactions without the need for a direct internet connection. GK8's customers manage over $1 billion in digital assets, according to company statements.
