Education Tech Startup Tailer-ED Raises $1.6 Million

Tailer-ED’s service helps elementary and high school teachers create personalized content packages for students based on academic achievements and interests

Tel Aviv-based education tech startup Tailor-ED Ltd. has raised a $1.6 million seed round, the company announced Wednesday. The round was led by Benson Oak Ventures, with participation from Avraham Kada, the founder and CEO of New York-based education services company BrainPOP. London-based accelerator Emerge Education, San Francisco-based educational games company Elevate Education, Israel-based venture capital firm FreshFund, and Y Combinator also participated.

 

Founded in 2018, Tailer-ED offers a service designed to help elementary and high school teachers find the most effective teaching methods for each individual student. Using artificial intelligence technology, Tailer-ED’s service creates personalized content package based on a student’s capabilities, academic records, and areas of interest. Tailer-ED’s technology has been used in more than 70 high schools in Israel and has recently launched in the U.S., according to company statements. The company currently employs seven people in Tel Aviv and San Francisco.
