Foot traffic analytics startup Placer.ai, incorporated as Placer Labs Inc., has raised a $12 million series A funding round, the company announced Wednesday. The round was led by JBV Capital, with participation from Reciprocal Ventures, Aleph Ventures, and OCA Ventures.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Los Altos, California with a development center in Tel Aviv, Placer.ai develops an online service that uses customers’ cell phone signals to provide retailers with data and insights on in-store activity. Placer.ai lists telecommunication company Verizon Enterprise Solutions Inc., Caesars Entertainment, and Nasdaq-listed real estate company Regency Centers Corp. as customers. The company has raised $16.2 million to date, according to Pitchbook data.
