Israeli venture capital firm Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) and New York City announced the launch of their joint International Cyber Center Monday. The inauguration event included a fireside chat between Academy award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and JVP founder and chairman, Erel Margalit.
The center is located in the city’s SoHo neighborhood and is operated in partnership with the Mayor’s Office and nonprofit organization the Economic Development Corporation of New York (NYCEDC).
“I do believe in privacy, and we are entering a strange point in time when people know far more about us than we feel comfortable, so we must work to ensure that protection of privacy as well,” Paltrow said at the center’s inauguration event.
