Via Raises $400 Million at Company Valuation of $2.25 Billion
Via operates transportation services in more than 90 locations wordlwide, offering various modes of operation in different places

Ridesharing company Via Transportation Inc. announced on Monday that it raised $200 million in a Series E round led by Milan-listed Exor N.V. According to one person familiar with the matter who spoke to Calcalist on condition of anonymity, the company raised $400 million at a company valuation of $2.25 billion.
The round was also participated by Shell Ventures, Macquarie Capital, Mori Building, Hearst Ventures, Ervington, 83 North Ventures, and Planven Ventures.

Founded in 2012, Via operates transportation services in over 90 locations and more than a dozen countries, offering various modes of operation in different places, including on-demand shuttles and ridesharing services. With the new round, the company has raised $787 million to date, according to Pitchbook data.
In December, Via announced it will open a research and development center in Jerusalem, and that the company intends to hire 50 additional developers and engineers for the new center.
