Most people working from home are more productive, according to Adi Azaria, the CEO of field service management startup Workiz Inc. Azaria spoke to CTech reporter Adi Pick about the challenges of keeping employees engaged remotely and what the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic means for startups at Google and Calcalist’s Startup Week conference.
“We see our employees’ engagement as the number one thing we need to take care of,” Azaria said.
“We created a plan for the company, reduced spending on marketing, reduced the headcount and salaries, and all of that was done to make us feel more secure without raising a funding round for the next six months,” he said.
“We see our employees’ engagement as the number one thing we need to take care of,” Azaria said.
Founded in 2018 and based in Tel Aviv, Workiz develops a mobile app and software for managing teams and clients intended for on-demand field service businesses such as locksmiths and appliance repairs. The company is headed by Azaria, who previously co-founded Israel-based business intelligence startup Sisense Ltd., which has raised more than $300 million to date.
