Digital experience analytics platform Contentsquare joined Dina Pasca Raz at Calcalist and CTech’s Mind the Tech New York conference this week to discuss the impact that the coronavirus (Covid-19) has had on small businesses. Its CFO, Shlomi Hagai, credited the pandemic for creating “a very positive atmosphere” for online retail.
“We see lots of sectors booming and increasing and monitoring their websites successfully,” he told Raz while attending a roundtable discussion. “Of course, some of the sectors like travel and exhibitions and tourism are still on hold, but definitely everything is very positive.”
Hagai noted that Contentsquare has seen an increase in online campaigns dedicated to upcoming sales such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Traditionally, these online shopping events generate billions of dollars a year - and Hagai indicated that it might finally be time for people to spend again after months of economic uncertainty brought on by the pandemic.
“We see all our customers preparing themselves for the next campaign towards these events. I think, all over, we see more SMBs are getting there,” he said.
Contentsquare was founded in 2012 and helps brands build better digital experiences. Its platform can track and analyze online behaviors and offers smart recommendations to help businesses grow their revenue. In April 2020, it raised $190 million in series D bringing its total to $312 million.
