"The authorities in the United States are putting up barriers to Chinese technology and this creates an opportunity for us to integrate our technologies into vehicles that cannot use Chinese technologies," said Omer Keilaf, co-founder and CEO of Innoviz at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s Mind the Tech conference in New York.
Keilaf, who founded the company that develops lidars for the automotive industry, says that "it is impossible to talk about electric cars without Tesla, which disrupted the technological world and moved it in the direction of the electric vehicle." Keilaf added that "the barriers to the electrical world have decreased significantly since the Chinese manufacturers entered the world and are a huge threat to the market. The Chinese manufacturers have not yet entered the United States, but they are conquering parts of Europe and moving towards market dominance."
