"Israel is now viewed as Silicon Valley with an accent”
Len Rosen, CEO of Evercore's Israeli business, spoke to CTech at Calcalist’s Mind the Tech conference in New York about capital raising for Israeli companies.
“Israel is now viewed as Silicon Valley with an accent,” says CEO of Evercore's Israeli business Len Rosen to CTech at Calcalist’s Mind the Tech conference in New York. Evercore is the leading advisory independent investment bank in the world and has been operating in Israel since 2020.
“From October 7th until now the capital markets have been essentially shut,” Rosen says about the impact of the war on capital raising for Israeli companies. However, he notes that “When markets have been shut in the past and been reopened, Israeli companies have done very well.”
“As Warren Buffet said, there are just not a lot of great opportunities in the world, and when there aren’t a lot of great opportunities, you look at where the opportunities are. And, Israel is such a place.”
