“His insights from previous roles in investment banking and corporate strategy will contribute to our deep understanding of the markets and help us continue finding the future leaders in cybersecurity, enterprise software, and data infrastructure,” said Sapir Harosh.
Third Point Ventures (TPV), a firm specializing in technology-focused investments, has announced the appointment of Adiel Gopas to its investment team in Israel. In his role, Gopas will contribute to identifying and nurturing investment opportunities in Israel.
“I am thrilled to join such an exceptional team at Third Point Ventures. TPV’s unwavering commitment to the Israeli tech ecosystem resonates deeply with my own. I look forward to working with and backing the most remarkable talent, innovation, and growth,” Gopas said.
Prior to joining Third Point Ventures, Gopas led PE and VC investing at Poalim Equity, a subsidiary and investment arm of Israel’s largest bank, Bank Hapoalim. He led Growth Equity Investments across multiple sectors, the Fund of Funds Portfolio consisting of over 25 leading VCs, and he played a role in the formation and sponsorship of several emerging VC managers.
Most recently, he was Head of Corporate Development & Strategy at OpenWeb, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic initiatives.
“We are excited to strengthen our investment team with Adiel Gopas as we expand our activity in the Israeli market, in which we have great faith,” added Sapir Harosh. “His insights from previous roles in investment banking and corporate strategy will contribute to our deep understanding of the markets and help us continue finding the future leaders in cybersecurity, enterprise software, and data infrastructure."
TPV was founded in 2000 as the venture capital arm of Daniel Loeb’s multistrategy hedge fund, Third Point LLC. With a focus on data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise software, it identifies and nurtures promising startups in the US and Israel.
