Meta picks 10 Israeli AI startups for Tel Aviv accelerator program
The selected startups will benefit from technical guidance from researchers and engineers of FAIR (Meta's fundamental AI research teams); and access to advanced computing resources and artificial intelligence technologies - including Llama 3.1, the next generation of Meta’s state-of-the-art open-source large language model.
Meta in Israel announced the launch of AI Accelerator TLV, a new accelerator program designed for early-stage B2C AI startups. Ten startups were selected for the program, by a committee consisting of Meta executives from its tech and business hubs in Tel Aviv, as well as Israeli venture capital investors.
The accelerator aims to support the growth and development of promising startups using open-source artificial intelligence solutions, by providing over a three-month period of working space, support, mentoring, and individualized training for founders and leadership teams. The selected startups will benefit from technical guidance from researchers and engineers of FAIR (Meta's fundamental AI research teams); and access to advanced computing resources and artificial intelligence technologies - including Llama 3.1, the next generation of Meta’s state-of-the-art open-source large language model.
As part of the program, masterclasses will be conducted by Adi Soffer-Teeni (VP&CM at Meta in Israel), Oran Gafni (Gen AI Research Manager at Meta), Amit Bleiweiss, Sr. Data Scientist at NVIDIA), Noa Zehavi (Head of Wordtune at AI21 Labs), Lirone Glikman (Expert and Speaker on networking and global business development), Liron Dor (EMEA Startup Tech Leader at Amazon Web Services), among other leading figures from the local tech ecosystem in Israel. As part of the program, Israeli Innovation Authority representatives will also present ways for entrepreneurs to receive funding and the various investment avenues available to them.
