This company is turning waste into electricity for our vehicles
Ofer Spottheim, CEO at Agam Energy, spoke to CTech about the company’s plans to revolutionize the energy industry
“One of our subsidiaries, Agam Turbine, has developed a turbine which takes waste steam at 100 Celsius or hot water at 90 Celsius and creates electricity out of it. The revolution is not only that you create electricity from waste, but you also prevent the heating of the atmosphere because of the wasted heat,” explains Agam Energy CEO Ofer Spottheim.
The turbines can work with any industry, with a second stage currently in development that would combine this with a small power plant with all the efficiency capabilities of a much larger one - the idea being that it will overcome electricity shortages seen in places like California. “Our goal is that we will combine it with a small generator and together it will be in gas stations, the gas stations will be gas and electric stations.”
He added: “We always joke that you cannot be any greener than this, and we’re not just talking about the money.”
