Nir Goldstein, previously VP Sales at Monday.com, joins Greenfield Partners as Operating Partner
Goldstein will oversee the fund’s initiatives with portfolio companies to catalyze their growth and enhance their global sales expansion
Nir Goldstein has been appointed as Operating Partner at Greenfield Partners, a fund specializing in investing in technology companies at the early growth stage. He will oversee the fund's initiatives to bolster its portfolio companies’ expansion and global sales, as well as to expedite their growth. In his new capacity, Goldstein will also contribute to identifying and investing in promising startups.
Nir brings a wealth of experience in sales and business development within the high-tech sector. Over the past five years, Nir served as the VP Sales for Monday.com in EMEA & APAC. He began with a sales team of 10, which expanded to 180 professionals under his leadership, spanning Israel, England, Australia, Singapore, and Tokyo. Prior to this, Nir was the Sales Director at Sisense in Western Europe and Israel, where he led the pre-sales team. He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with honors from Tel Aviv University.
"Leading the sales division at Monday.com, a cornerstone of Israeli high-tech, during its unprecedented growth phase was a privilege," said Nir Goldstein. "This company was more than just a workplace for me; it was my professional home. I am eager to leverage my extensive experience to nurture the upcoming wave of Israeli high-tech successes. At Monday, I saw firsthand what is required to scale from the early growth phase all the way through to an IPO. These are critical years for the Go-to-Market function to establish practices of excellence across the organization and to stay ahead of growing pains that can set a company back if it does not lay the foundations for scale properly. Unfortunately it is not yet well understood how to bring these practices to bear, and this is something I intend to help change in the sales ecosystem more broadly, and in particular with Greenfield Partners portfolio companies."
Greenfield Partners, initially founded as a growth fund in 2016 under TPG, evolved into an independent entity in 2020 when partners Shay Grinfeld, Yuda Doron, and Avery Schwartz orchestrated a spin-out. Greenfield Partners currently holds nearly a billion dollars in assets under management across several funds and investment vehicles with a focus on Enterprise Software, encompassing sectors such as Cybersecurity, IT and AI Infrastructure, Fintech, and hardware for companies in their growth stage. The fund specializes in expediting companies’ entry into the US market and successfully navigating their hyperscale phase.
Noteworthy investments include VAST Data, which recently achieved a valuation of $9 billion, along with Coralogix, BigPanda, and Silverfort. Additional investments include Capitolis, Cynet, DustPhotonics, Equitybee, floLIVE, Mixtiles, Panorays, Planck, Quali, and Torq. The fund has also experienced successful exits, such as Guardicore and Avanan, which were acquired by Akamai and Check Point, respectively.
“For companies that have developed groundbreaking solutions, crafting an effective sales team and achieving global market penetration are often the key challenges in evolving into market leaders. Nir's expertise in assembling high-performance sales teams and driving rapid global expansion, as demonstrated during Monday.com's period of significant growth and its subsequent IPO, will be an invaluable asset to our portfolio companies facing similar hurdles,” said Shay Grinfeld, Managing Partner of Greenfield Partners.
