"AI is a strong reflection of the tech evolution,” said Hilla Peled, VP Data Science at Riskified, speaking at Calcalist's Tech TLV conference. "On one hand, there is a significant technological revolution, especially in AI, and on the other hand, there are growing concerns for the future consequences of that technology derived from the fear of loss of control.”
“There are 600,000 new online users daily so the amount of relevant data points collected is unthinkable. People are wondering how we can give over our power to machines? The answer is that humans make mistakes too,” Peled noted. "We need to find the balance between leveraging innovative AI solutions and using them cautiously enough to reach a sweet spot which is machines using human-like intelligence."
Riskified is leveraging multiple data sources to try and accurately identify users making online interactions with e-commerce merchants. The company uses AI to identify if these individuals are fraudsters.
