Port raises $35 million Series B as demand for DevOps solutions soars

The Israeli startup said its annual revenues have increased sevenfold over the past year, while its user base has expanded eightfold, with customers including companies such as LG, GitHub, and British Telecom.

Israeli startup Port, which develops an internal developer portal within organizations, has completed a Series B capital raising round of $35 million. The round was led by Accel, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and existing investors Team8 and TLV Partners. This funding brings the total investment in the company since its inception to $58 million and follows significant growth, with the company reporting a sevenfold increase in annual revenues. Port's user base has expanded eightfold since its $18 million Series A round raised about a year ago, and its customers include leading companies such as LG, GitHub, and British Telecom.
Port was founded in 2022 by CEO Zohar Einy and CTO Yonatan Boguslavski. It emerged from the founders' experience building an internal developer portal for Israel's elite 8200 intelligence unit, which served over 2,000 developers. The company currently employs 100 people in Israel and the U.S. The new funds will be used to expand the development and deployment of their system in the market and to hire additional personnel.

Port's internal developer portal allows developers to manage the wide range of tasks associated with their roles, fitting into the DevOps domain, one of the hottest sectors today. The portal integrates all the tools and work processes developers need during development into an intuitive interface. Over recent years, the responsibilities of developers have expanded dramatically beyond just writing code. They now include full ownership of deploying new versions, managing cloud resources, troubleshooting, and complying with organizational security protocols. These expanded responsibilities, combined with the complexities of development environments, have created a chaotic situation where developers frequently seek assistance, open service tickets to infrastructure teams, and rely heavily on company-wide or external knowledge. This situation has slowed down development and worsened issues related to quality, security, and compatibility.
In addition to the fundraising, Port also announced the integration of large language models (LLMs) into its platform. These tools enable organizations to embed AI capabilities directly into their custom developer portals. Popular uses of these tools include fault investigation through natural language search and analysis, automatic generation of clear error messages from documentation, and recommending relevant internal resources to developers based on the feature they are working on.
“Development teams today are overwhelmed with responsibilities that extend far beyond writing code, leading to operational chaos and a degradation of standards,” said Zohar Einy, co-founder and CEO of Port. “Our mission is to empower teams to start left, ensuring that everything is secure, compliant, and high-quality by design. Port provides a dynamic, customizable platform that fits into each company's DNA and evolves with their needs, enabling all stakeholders — from developers to security teams to leadership — to collaborate effectively and maintain organizational standards. Port empowers teams to be self-sufficient owners of the software they develop, restoring agility and driving significant business impact.”
“Over the past decade, organizations have invested heavily in DevOps, automating processes and adopting best practices to drive agility,” said Amit Karp, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “However, they haven’t reaped the full benefits due to the increased complexities introduced. Port has experienced a meteoric rise because it arrived at a key moment, serving as the missing piece that completes the DevOps puzzle. Customizable internal developer portals enable organizations to finally unlock the true promise of DevOps — improved DORA metrics, streamlined workflows, enhanced agility, adherence to standards, and empowered developers.”
