10 startups complete first cohort of SHAAR- Shaare Zedek - Arieli Healthcare innovation hub

The program aims to provide participants with funding and business development opportunities from Arieli Capital, and connections to the core data, experts, and facilities of Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Shaare Zedek Medical Center, through its innovation subsidiary Madait, and investment firm Arieli Capital, have launched the first cohort of their innovation hub, "SHAAR". The ten biomed companies presented have raised a total of $25 million.
SHAAR, located within Shaare Zedek Medical Center, provides startups with immediate proximity to physicians, data, and medical departments. For the first cohort of SHAAR, ten startups in the Seed to A stages were selected. The program, which concluded last week, was packed with 440 intensive business meetings and collaboration opportunities for clinical trials partnerships and funding opportunities.

The selected companies tackled various medical concerns, such as lung cancer, brain stents, and post-surgical infections. The program's comprehensive framework will closely support the graduates for the coming months by providing business and clinical support and mentorship, a shared workspace within the medical center, and potential investment opportunities.
The program concluded with a Final Expo and Pitch Event held at Shaare Zedek's old building in Midtown Jerusalem, attracting a diverse group of investors, medical professionals, and senior government officials.

The graduates of SHAAR’s first cohort are as follows:
BeCapio - BeCapio has developed a non-invasive solution, based on passive and active mechanisms, to prevent leak, regain control and improve quality of life for those suffering from fecal incontinence.
Caleetech - CaleeTech vision is to create solutions that improving glycemic controls and weight management , without compromising on the quality of life.
Gento Gel-LR - Gento Gel-LR has developed injectable, biodegradable, sustained release of antibiotics for the prevention and treatment of local infections.
Luseed Vascular - LuSeed Vascular provides a simpler, comprehensive solution for treating brain aneurysms, by introducing the first minimally invasive device in the market, capable of treating both aneurysm subtypes safely, easily, and effectively. The company has recently commenced its clinical phase, with so far highly promising results.
Panacea-ml - Panacea-ml streamlines clinical trials to make them faster, more efficient, and more successful.
Predicta Med - Predicta Med is an AI based startup that offers the first Clinical Decision Support Platform for early detection and intervention of autoimmune diseases.
Sherman Diagnostics - Sherman Diagnostics is a molecular in vitro diagnostics (IVD) company, bringing to market an immediate & ultra-sensitive detection platform for a wide range of pathogens and samples to speed-up intervention at point of care.
Snipe - Snipe Medical is a medical device startup dedicated to developing a transcatheter ablation solution for lung cancer.
Sorlis - Sorlis is developing an autonomic system for early detection of pressure ulcers.
Techno Pulm – Techno Pulm is shifting the point of care for respiratory disease management from hospitals to the community.
