Israel Export Institute delegation with 30 climate-tech companies to represent Israel at Climate Week in NY

The delegation will meet with strategic investors, including venture capital funds, investment banks, and large corporations seeking cutting-edge solutions in climate-related fields, such as energy, construction, and infrastructure.

A delegation of approximately 30 Israeli climate-tech companies and startups traveled to New York this week to participate in Climate Week. The delegation is led by senior officials from the Israel Export Institute, in collaboration with the Foreign Trade Administration of the Ministry of Economy, the Israel Innovation Authority, and the Planetech organization. The delegation will meet with strategic investors, including venture capital funds, investment banks, and large corporations seeking cutting-edge solutions in climate-related fields, such as energy, construction, and infrastructure. They will also engage with government bodies involved in infrastructure.
According to data from the Export Institute, which assists Israeli entrepreneurs and companies with global marketing and opening markets worldwide, there are currently around 300 climate-tech companies operating in Israel. Notably, 13% of these companies were founded in the past three years. During the first half of 2024, investment in the sector reached approximately $500 million, a significant recovery from the $100 million invested during the second half of 2023. Over the past four years, the climate-tech sector has raised around $7 billion, accounting for roughly one-tenth of the total investments in Israeli tech companies.
