How AI is reshaping product management at Amazon
Itay Fried, Product Leader at Amazon, spoke at Mind The Tech about how AI is transforming the product management profession.

“AI, in general, helps sales or development to scale and move fast, and it's the same with product management. Think about all the steps that so far took us a long time, like weeks or even months, to do research, prototyping a new product, all these steps are going to move much faster than we are used to,” explained Itay Fried, Product Leader at Amazon. “And the good side about it is that it helps us product managers focus on making decisions and being right about the product that we're building rather than looking after the data and trying to gather it.”
Fried is part of a new organization called Amazon Shipping, which provides shipping services to businesses. It launched roughly 18 months ago and helps organizations that can call Amazon to come and pick up the volume and ship it everywhere in the US and the EU. He spoke to CTech at Mind The Tech in New York to share how AI is changing the role of Product Managers in organizations.
“Now we have the support from AI that helps us to get the data, and now we can really focus on the best part of the job which is making the right decisions so that you can solve the problems that you need,” he added.
