Pentera founder’s AutonomyAI raises $4M to put AI at the heart of enterprise development teams

The Israeli startup, co-founded by Arik Faingold, aims to integrate autonomous AI agents into development teams, promising a tenfold acceleration in software production.

Arik Faingold, the Israeli entrepreneur behind cybersecurity unicorn Pentera, has set his sights on a new challenge—integrating artificial intelligence directly into enterprise development teams. His latest venture, AutonomyAI, has just emerged from stealth mode with $4 million in pre-Seed funding and a mission to redefine the way companies build software.
Unlike many AI coding tools that function as assistants, AutonomyAI’s platform embeds itself within a company’s existing workflows, learning its development standards and producing code that meets organizational requirements. The startup claims its technology can transform days of development work into minutes, improving team productivity by over 44% and achieving a striking 95% code acceptance rate—far above the industry average of 30%.

AutonomyAI’s technology, developed by four former CTOs from leading Israeli companies, led by Tamuz Dubnov, co-founder and CTO of the company, is built around its Agentic Context Engine. The AI system is designed to understand an organization’s unique development environment, infrastructure, and standards. This allows it to generate production-ready code that seamlessly integrates with existing projects.
"In the cybersecurity world, we saw how AI could completely change the game. The same thing is happening in software development," said Arik Faingold, Chairman and Co-founder of AutonomyAI. "We’re giving companies an AI-powered developer that doesn’t just assist—it becomes part of the team."
The startup, headed by CEO Adir Ben Yehuda, has already gained traction, generating $100,000 in monthly revenue from early customers in Israel and the U.S. Its ability to deliver immediate productivity gains could make it an attractive solution for organizations looking to cut costs in an uncertain economic climate.

The company’s early funding round drew backing from high-profile investors, including Inbound Capital, ION Crossover Partners’ Gilad Shany, and Google Cloud Security executive Vikram Makija.
The push for AI-driven development comes at a critical moment for the tech industry. As companies face economic and geopolitical pressures, many are cutting back on hiring while still needing to deliver innovative software at scale. AutonomyAI’s solution aims to bridge that gap by reducing the time engineers spend on repetitive tasks, allowing teams to focus on high-impact work.
