SeeTree secures $17.5 million Series C for its Tree Intelligence Platform
The company has developed an AI-based system that offers per-tree intelligence to growers to track the health and productivity of their trees.
Israeli agtech company SeeTree has announced that it raised $17.5 million in Series C funding, co-led by HSBC Asset Management and EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development). The round also included new investors OurCrowd, and SmartAgro, and continued support from Hanaco Ventures (after leading the A round of the company), Mindest Ventures, Uri Levine’s TFK, Orbia Ventures, and SeeTree customer Citrosuco.
“I would like to express our thanks and gratitude to our new investors and existing shareholders,” said SeeTree CEO Israel Talpaz. “Receiving their great support, especially in these challenging times, is a highly appreciated show of faith. It is exciting to see the digital and data transformation of farming happening with SeeTree’s product. Seeing thousands of field workers worldwide using their smartphones on a daily basis, while their managers make decisions and run their complex operations based on our platform, is the best reward possible. We are totally committed to continuing our journey, helping our customers and expanding our ‘Operating System for Trees’.”
SeeTree has developed an AI-based ‘Tree operating System’ that offers per-tree intelligence to growers to track the health and productivity of their trees. The round will allow the company to expand its platform to encompass new crop types and to expand its marketing, sales activities, and R&D efforts in key territories, including North America, LATAM, Ukraine, and APAC.
“Since our initial investment in SeeTree, we've witnessed the company's progress in fulfilling its vision to become the holistic farmers' management platform, facilitating the management of over 400 million trees worldwide,” said Pasha Romanovski, Founding Partner at Hanaco Ventures. Bruno Lusic, from EBRD’s Venture Capital team, added: “We are excited to support the team as it continues to revolutionize digital farming and precision agriculture.”
SeeTree was founded in 2017 and has raised more than $60 million. It has headquarters in Tel Aviv with operations in Brazil, the USA, Mexico, and South Africa, with a development center in Ukraine.
