As with all Mind the Tech conferences organized by Calcalist and Bank Leumi, the delegation for the March 25-26 event will feature a selection of Israeli entrepreneurs presenting their technological innovations to a professional audience in New York. They will gain rare, direct access to industry leaders, senior investors, and strategic partners. The exclusive roadshow includes personal meetings with venture capital funds, private investors, and global companies, along with broad media exposure, ongoing professional support, and a powerful network of contacts—all of which provide Israeli companies with a significant springboard for success in the American market.
The startup selection process was conducted this year in collaboration with Showcase IL and included a rigorous screening phase followed by a professional bootcamp workshop. Entrepreneurs underwent intensive training, receiving guidance from leading experts in business strategy, investor pitching, marketing, and U.S. regulatory requirements—preparing them for entry into the international market.
The bootcamp, held last week at Google Campus, was opened by Yuval Passov, head of Google for Startups, and Mike Calvert from the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. The event included an investor panel titled "A Guide to Doing Business in the U.S." and a lecture on deal readiness. One of the day's highlights was a public speaking workshop led by Idit Neuderfer. Additional panels covered strategies for conducting business in the U.S. and key "Do’s and Don'ts" for fundraising. The event concluded with a lecture on global business expansion, focusing on working with international brands.
"I founded Showcase IL with the mission of helping Israeli startups," said Hilla Ovil Brenner, Partner, Director, and CEO of Showcase IL. "I couldn’t be more excited about the diverse and talented group of entrepreneurs chosen to represent Israeli high-tech at the New York conference. Connecting groundbreaking Israeli startups with global opportunities is at the core of our mission, and we are fortunate to have such strong partners. We can’t wait to see them succeed."
Dror Shaked, VP of Business Development at Wix, who participated in mentoring the startups, emphasized the importance of local talent: "The American market is vital, and one of the biggest challenges in entering it is building a dedicated and professional local team, especially for sales. You need people you can trust—people who can execute, protect the company’s interests, and uphold its brand. This is a key component of success."
Eyal Bino, founding partner at 97212 Ventures, a New York-based fund, highlighted the potential for Israeli innovation: "Israeli startups have an incredible opportunity to build significant companies in the age of artificial intelligence. I’m excited to support Israeli entrepreneurs as they expand into the American market and help bridge the gap between the New York and Israeli tech scenes. My belief in Israeli startups is as strong as ever."
The judging panel that selected the "Dream Team" for the seventh Mind the Tech NY 2025 conference, organized by Calcalist and Bank Leumi, included: Yoel Esteron, founder and publisher of Calcalist; Noa Tamir, CEO of Calcalist; Maya Eisen Zafrir, CEO of LeumiTech ; Carine Wiener-Perlmuter, SVP of Startups at Leumi Tech; Micha Motlis, Innovation Manager at Bank Leumi; Dina Pasca-Raz, Partner, Head of Technology at KPMG Israel; Raz Bachar, Managing Director at Microsoft for Startups; Liat Ashkenazi, SVP Engineering & GM Israel at Own; Yoram Avidan, CTO Innovation Lab & Global Head of Citi Accelerator; Eyal Redler, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, The Garage; Yair Snir, Managing Director at Dell Technologies Capital; Atir Yaffe, Partner, Pearl Cohen; Yael Shimon Many, Partner, Pearl Cohen; Yifat Cohen, Business Development, ESOP-Phoenix; Ran Levitzky, Partner, Magenta Ventures; Asaf Charnilas, Investor, Team8; Dror Shaked, Senior VP of Business Development, Wix; Eyal Zilberman, Co-Founder and Chairman, SpeedValue; Meirav Harnoy, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Moneta Venture Capital; Ben Enosh, Co-Founder, Antidote Health; Aya Peterburg, Managing Partner, SCapital VC; Alon Barnea, VP of Development and Strategic Partnerships, Afeka Academic College Tel Aviv.
