Salt Security appoints Gilad Gruber as Senior Vice President of Engineering

API security company Salt Security has announced that it is appointing Gilad Gruber as Senior Vice President of Engineering, a newly created role. Gruber will lead engineering functions and drive technology innovation at the company that provides enterprise organizations with API security solutions.
“Surging growth in APIs has expanded the application attack surface at an unprecedented rate. As the undisputed leader in API security, Salt has been at the forefront of helping companies overcome these new threats,” said Gruber. “I am excited to join this amazing team at Salt Security and look forward to further accelerating our technology leadership.”
Gruber has 20 years of experience in consumer and enterprise software solutions. Most recently, he served as CTO of Payoneer where he led a team of more than 500 engineers in R&D, data, cyber, corporate, and production IT. Before that, he was Vice President of R&D at Panaya, a subsidiary of Infosys. He has also served as Senior Vice President of Citibank Innovation Center.

Salt Security protects APIs and combines cloud-scale big data and time-tested ML/AI to detect and prevent API attacks. The company has reached a total funding of $271 million with a valuation of $1.5 billion.
