Israel “is a great place to start” for climatetech investments, says Capital Nature

“This is an amazing time. We all know it is a slow time in terms of investment and VCs, but in climatetech specifically, it is a great time,” said Ofir Gomeh, CEO at Capital Nature, an early-stage investor in climatetech looking at contributing to decarbonization. “The need is there, the energy crisis is there, unfortunately, but it gives us an opportunity and is a perfect storm, because the need is there for new energies, for decarbonization, and so forth.”
Capital Nature is today in its 12th year looking for Israeli companies that can help fight the climate crisis. “Israel with its innovative thinking and approach, abilities, tech, and entrepreneurs is a great place to start. We should take this story and expand it all around the region. I think MENA is an amazing region for us given the Abraham Accords from the last few years. These things together give us a great opportunity to expand and take our opportunities and have these early adopters around us. They're having the same problems we are seeing in terms of weather and the climate crisis.”
