How does Playtika foster a sense of community after so many years?

Tomer Rubinstein, Director of Product, Slotomania at Playtika, discussed how the company uses innovation to attract and retain generations of gamers.

“I can tell you we have a very strong bond with the community. When bringing something new to the game, we will always check it with the community beforehand,” said Tomer Rubinstein, Director of Product, Slotomania at Playtika. “We want to get their feedback on our ideas on what we plan to do. We want to make sure that we are in the right direction when bringing innovation that the players would like.”
Rubinstein was making the remarks at Gaming 2024 an event hosted by Calcalist in collaboration with Google and Playtika. Slotomania is one of the company’s longest-running games, and the company makes sure to adopt innovative strategies to make sure players remain playing and new gamers join their growing network.
“Our players have seen a lot of things and we want to keep them engaged because we understand that content means both retention and new players that are coming into the game,” Rubinstein added. “A game that doesn't bring new innovation is also a game that is lacking in retention: our players will be bored and eventually go to the competitors. This is why it's also so important for us to bring new excitement to them.”
