Cyber unicorn Semperis surpasses $100 million ARR amid growing demand for identity security

The Israeli cybersecurity company capitalizes on increasing cybersecurity threats, especially for Fortune 500 companies using Microsoft’s Active Directory.

Israeli cybersecurity company Semperis announced on Thursday that it has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
Semperis raised $125 million in funding from J.P. Morgan and Hercules Capital at a valuation of over $1 billion last June. The company had raised a $200 million Series C two years ago.
Unlike two years ago, the latest round included both equity and debt.

Headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey, Semperis was founded in 2013 by CEO Michael Brezman, Chief Technology Officer Guy Teverovsky, and Matan Liberman, who serves as executive vice president of business development and leads the company’s Tel Aviv branch. Semperis employs around 500 people, including 150 in Tel Aviv.
The company provides identity security solutions for hybrid Active Directory environments, with a particular focus on Microsoft's Active Directory—a directory service widely used by Fortune 500 companies across industries. Semperis’ disaster recovery system is capable of detecting cyberattacks, neutralizing them, and automatically restoring an organization's operations.
“Since our inception in 2015, we’ve emphasized the importance of putting identity at the center of your cyber resilience strategy,” said Mickey Bresman, Semperis CEO. “The biggest brands in the world rely on us to safeguard their hybrid AD environments, which are being targeted at unprecedented levels. I’m proud to offer organizations an alternative to succumbing to ransom demands by taking back control through comprehensive protection—ranging from detection and response to full crisis recovery. We cover the entire identity attack lifecycle and provide specialized incident response support.”
