Musk: X to donate all revenue associated with war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross/Crescent in Gaza

Musk noted that X “will track how funds are spent and go through Red Cross/Crescent” to ensure they don’t end up in Hamas hands

Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), announced on Tuesday on the social network that all revenues from advertising and subscriptions related in any way to the war in Gaza will be donated to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Gaza. In response to a user's question about preventing funds from being diverted to Hamas, Musk wrote: “We will track how funds are spent and go through Red Cross/Crescent. Better ideas are welcome. We should care about the innocent regardless of race, creed, religion or anything else.”
Musk's announcement comes after he previously posted tweets expressing support for an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory, suggesting that Jews are working to replace white people with non-white people. He agreed with a statement claiming that Jews hold a "dialectical hatred" of white people. Musk has previously expressed other anti-Semitic sentiments, including remarks about Jewish billionaire George Soros.

It is noteworthy that X has continued to allow the likes of Jackson Hinkle, an active user on X during the Gaza war, to spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories despite calls for his removal from the platform.
Last week, a research company called Media Matters found that ads from major companies, including IBM, Apple, Disney, and others, appeared next to posts that promoted anti-Semitism and hatred, some of which were even shared by Musk himself. Following the report, many major brands stopped advertising on X. Subsequently, Musk announced that chants such as "from the river to the sea" and "decolonization" would result in account suspensions.
On Monday, X filed a lawsuit against the research company, claiming that it acted maliciously against it.
