9 Israeli startups selected to the Dangoor Health-Tech Academy to tackle UK healthcare challenges
The academy is designed to connect Israeli startups with the UK and was initiated by The Dangoor Foundation in partnership with the UK-Israel Tech Hub at the British Embassy in Israel.
The first session of the Dangoor Health-Tech Academy commenced with nine Health-Tech startups advancing healthcare solutions utilizing AI for UK healthcare partners. It was initiated by The Dangoor Foundation in partnership with the UK-Israel Tech Hub at the British Embassy in Israel and is led by Ronit Applebaum, Healthcare Innovation lead at the UK-Israel Tech Hub.
The companies are developing solutions relating to diagnostics, eating disorders, mental health, femtech, neuroscience, personalized treatments, and nutrition. This is the first cohort of the academy an eight-week educational program in Israel, online and in the UK where participants will gain an understanding of the UK healthcare ecosystem, including regulatory affairs, R&D, and pilots. They will connect with key partners and receive mentorship from experts in both Israel and the UK. The final session, held in London, will include a three-day delegation visit to NHS and private healthcare organizations. The intention is that the startups will gain insights into the NHS and UK healthcare system and collaborate with healthcare organizations to bridge gaps and foster partnerships.
