Shlomo Kramer warns against Israel becoming "full blown corrupt dictatorship", calls on employees to demonstrate

The serial entrepreneur, who also co-founded Check Point and Imperva, has voiced his objections to the government’s judicial reforms in the past, but not to the extent to which he expressed in his email on Thursday.
“On Monday, July 10th, there will be an attempt in the Knesset to start changing the governance system in Israel from a liberal democracy to what will eventually deteriorate into a full blown corrupt dictatorship,” Kramer wrote. “On a personal level you know my opinions as I expressed them many times in different public forums. But today I am writing to you as the CEO of Cato. My best business judgment is that this is a critical moment for us as Catonians. I view the legislation attempt as a move that is detrimental to our business success as a company.
“I call all of you who support this opinion to go and take part in the nationwide demonstration activity planned for Tuesday, July 11th,” Kramer concluded, before adding that it would not be deducted from employees’ PTO balance.
Earlier this week, speaking on a podcast recorded at Cato offices, Kramer said: "The trust that the high-tech industry built over 30 years could be lost in three weeks. If there is a dictatorship here, and the government makes decisions without checks and balances - there is no way back."
