NFX promotes Sarai Bronfeld to Partner
Bronfeld was promoted after three years at the fund, during which she served as a Principal
Venture capital fund NFX has promoted Sarai Bronfeld (32) to Partner in Israel. With Bronfeld's appointment, the fund, founded by Gigi Levy-Weiss, now has seven partners across the U.S. and Israel.
The NFX fund manages over a billion dollars in its Seed funds. Last month, the VC launched a fast track for new startups in Israel, promising an answer within 9 days and money within three weeks. NFX launched the investment route in April, with 402 companies passing the initial screening, and five being selected, receiving $20 million in funding. Three more are expected to receive funding totaling $6 million depending on reaching certain milestones or completing an establishment process.
With Bronfeld's promotion, the fund will be able to expand its activities in Israel. Bronfeld will primarily focus on investments in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, and marketplaces.
Bronfeld was promoted after three years at the fund, during which she served as a Principal and worked closely with Levy-Weiss. Levy-Weiss commented, "Israeli high-tech needs the next generation of investors. To date, Sarai has recruited dozens of young founders to the NFX network and led several successful investments."
