Team8 appoints Eyal Eliakim as Head of AI to lead AI Excellence Center
Prior to joining Team8, Eliakim was the Co-Founder and CTO of Zone7 Technologies.
Team8 has appointed Eyal Eliakim as Head of AI to lead the newly established AI Excellence Center. In his role, Eliakim will drive AI integration within the ideation process of entrepreneurs, helping to define 'problem' areas more accurately and develop effective solutions. He will develop AI-driven tools that enhance the capabilities of Team8’s portfolio companies, spearhead new investments in AI, and lead the development of an AI-powered solution that leverages social listening and behavioral insights to uncover market gaps and drive innovation in key industries.
With over 15 years of experience in AI, data science, and product development, Eliakim brings extensive expertise to Team8. Prior to joining Team8, he was the Co-Founder and CTO of Zone7 Technologies, an AI-driven company that pioneered predictive injury risk technology to optimize athlete performance. In this role, he led the R&D and product development teams, overseeing research, customer success, and service delivery.
Before founding Zone7, Elyakim held various AI and data leadership roles, including at Salesforce, where he was involved in cutting-edge AI projects for financial applications. He also served in an elite technological unit in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and holds a BSc in Computational Biology and Statistics from Tel Aviv University.
