Forward to the Future: Five future of mobility startups showcased
Of the 70 startups that applied, five were selected to present in a showcase event, receiving an opportunity for investment by Good Company VC and Mobilion
The Movement, a value creation platform by venture capital firm Good Company, concluded its quarterly mission for the future of mobility with a showcase event in which five select startups presented their innovative technological solutions for senior market professionals and car industry professionals. The mission, entitled Getting from A to B - Future of Mobility Mission, sought to discover startup companies that redefine the future of the transportation field. Of the 70 startups that applied, only five were selected to present in the showcase event and received an opportunity for investment by Good Company VC or Mobilion, as well as exposure to leading companies in the mobility industry.
Good Company is a Mission-driven VC that invests in Israeli companies that are ‘solving the world’s problems’. It focuses on ClimateTech, SocialTech, Future of Energy, Agtech, and others. The Movement is its value creation platform that is designed to bring together multinational corporations, entrepreneurs, and capital.
The five selected startups in the showcase will also receive a meeting with Drive TLV, a counseling meeting with KPMG's experts, a pilot, and business opportunities with Tesla, Bird, Ituran, Volvo, Hertz, AWS, BCLP, LeumiTech, Sompo, and others. The showcase was designed for entrepreneurs to network with VC funds and other companies, enabling them to continue to grow and lead the mobility industry.
The five selected startups are: V-Hola Labs, Make My Day, NewSight Imaging, Radomatics and SafeMode.
V-Hola Labs develops products that monitor and reduce radiation in cars to help keep electric car drivers safe. Make My Day develops smart software solutions to help electric car drivers and fleets, connecting to existing navigation apps while integrating information about charging stations to optimize route planning. NewSight Imaging develops unique sensors and camera models for computer vision applications, improving autonomous cars’ environment perception and their safety level as a result. Radomatics is a startup developing portable micro-radars that can be loaded onto an aircraft, allowing for safer autonomous flight, providing a wider protection range than a pilot's vision range, without control tower intervention or assistance from radar on the ground. SafeMode is a startup developing a platform for vehicle fleets and drivers using AI, big data, and psychological-behavioral insights in order to reduce the number of accidents caused by the human factor – the driver. The platform includes blocking other distracting apps, a social network for drivers only, and a reward system – all without compromising the drivers' privacy.
