8200 Alumni Association: Technological assistance to army units, evacuees, and support for small businesses
Already on "Black Saturday," the Association of Graduates of the Elite Military Unit began working for the welfare of the security forces, evacuees, and small businesses in Israel while providing advice and technological assistance and establishing a fund that provides "first aid" to small businesses
In recent difficult weeks, the Israeli people's remarkable response to the emergency needs of society and security forces has given rise to great optimism.
In this spirit, the 8200 Alumni Association also enlisted to assist the war effort intensively from the first hours of the Black Sabbath until this moment. The association, which incorporates graduates of Unit 8200, directly assists the military unit, its servants, and graduates with various needs, including technological means, and also operates various programs to assist the high-tech community, women, evacuees, and Israeli families around the world.
One of the most prominent activities of the association is the "8200 for Small Business" program. The program provides free first aid to small businesses hit by the "Iron Sword" war in the financial, marketing, and legal aspects.
The program was established voluntarily by members of the 8200 Alumni Association under the auspices of Bank Hapoalim and in collaboration with expert mentors from leading companies in Israel. It was designed to provide a quick and effective response to business difficulties.
Businesses in the program can choose one of two tracks: a personal assistance program for the business, which includes professional and close guidance for a month by expert mentors from Israel's leading companies, who are deeply familiar with the rights of businesses during this period and can assist them in the legal, financial and marketing fields. Priority is given to businesses and self-employed persons from evacuated areas near the Gaza Strip and northern Israel.
Those who have not been able to enter the personal assistance program can easily use the "Do It Yourself" track, in which the organization has provided a detailed and up-to-date database that enables each business to understand the various assistance options and realize them.
Chen Shmilo, CEO of the association: "As soon as the war broke out, we decided to focus our assistance on small businesses from the Gaza Envelope area. The program will assist in the immediate realization of rights for business owners, followed by guidance in making business adjustments for the near future, among other things, in marketing and reaching customers. We see tremendous importance in supporting the economy at a difficult time and are proud to harness the network of the unit's graduates to benefit the mission."
